Description: 該劇是以鐵木真之生平作藍本，述說鐵木真由沒落王孫重新立國一統蒙古帝國之故事。
蒙古的乞顏族沒落，鐵木真被仇家追殺，幸得赤老溫及合答安所救。脫險後，鐵木真聯同親弟合撒兒，率領族人重整家園，誓要振興乞顏族。仇人接二連三攻擊鐵木真，並擄去其妻孛兒帖，鐵木真得結義兄弟札木合及義父別里相助，救回妻子。
經此一役，鐵木真聲勢日盛，他與札木合及別里三人被稱為「草原三雄」。 札木合對孛兒帖有意，千方百計去接近她，但孛兒帖堅貞不二，札木合自此對鐵木真懷恨在心。別里之子桑昆愛上合答安，向鐵木真提親，合答安堅拒不嫁。原來她一直暗戀鐵木真，孛兒帖見合答安一片痴心，遂撮合二人。桑昆心有不甘，經常在父親面前中傷鐵木真。另方面，札木合之弟被鐵木真誤殺，面對新仇舊怨，札木合發誓非消滅鐵木真不可。「草原三雄」從此展開一場激烈鬥爭……
