Description: 黃秋發(苗僑偉飾)與林天光(廖啟智飾)看電影散心，秋發被天花剝落的大塊石屎所擊斃。 秋發枉死，自覺死得不值，於是上訴，魔鬼(馮萃帆飾)允許秋發還陽，但必須在一年內收買兩個靈魂。秋發返回陽間，附身於商振宇(苗僑偉飾)身上，振宇之妻婉君(林建明飾)和姦夫羅德明(羅浩楷飾)本已殺死振宇，卻見振宇突然復活。 秋發在街上重遇天光，天光不知秋發化身為振宇，秋發不敢吐出實情，但替天光償還巨債。後來二人相認，天光並成為秋發的得力助手。 魔鬼命秋發不准亂花錢，更成為秋發公司的會計主任，期間展開一段人與魔鬼的角力。 秋發對張樂雯(戚美珍飾)一見鍾情，大力追求。萬鋒也追求樂雯，更曾利用電台進行攻勢，在某電台節目中，說出一番令人不堪入耳的情話，望能打動樂雯的心，但樂雯喜歡的是秋發上身的振宇，後來更成為一對。 最後秋發與樂雯共住，相處融洽，而樂雯也暗示衷情，秋發便向她求婚，樂雯答允了。秋發病情日益嚴重，已知死期將近，便向樂雯提出分手，以免誤她終生幸福。可是樂雯對他情深一片，堅持無論如何與他一起。 最後秋發不忍心收買至親好友的靈魂，寧願自己消失，但魔鬼竟發起善心，放過秋發，並准他繼續活下去。
